So I writing yesterday and in the story I am writing, I am really trying to give a good setting (something in which I tend to forget or just not care about) And so most of the story is taken place in a castle and then I started writing this REALLY drawn out description or the layout.
I could almost perfectly visualize it so that I HAD to draw it down...it also helps with logistic stuff too (though I am not an archetect and probably broke some fundamental rules) but it was fun!
I even color coded it! lol
This is freakin huge castle! There are also secret passages....but that requires too much thought to make *is lazy*
The main character's room is in the guest wing, on the outer wall, and against the library. *points* see?

To dream silently in the faded words Dripping colors off the edges of souls Feel the thoughts wash oceans upon our eyes And let us tie our fingers into knots So as not to forget the memory And can fondly remember still to dream

so where is the secret passage that goes behind the paintings so you can watch your guest be bored? and how bout them trap doors? Also, i failed to see a moat....where will the guest go to the bathroom without a moat? and where would you keep all of your prisoners? Like what if you're watching your party through the paintings and Bam! Jesus is there....so you open the trap door to keep him for yourself....where would he go?
These are all questions that i'm sure are irrelevant to your story
There are secret passages, but that requires too much effort for me to draw such small spaces (and too much thought)
It's a friendly, happy castle! We LOVE people!
